Our passion is …
Our story
I (Annette) have been sewing all my life. Well, since I was 10 years-old at least I started on simple things - replacing buttons and straight stitching seams - working with MY mom and learning how to sew to make my own creations. When I went to college, I took my love of theatre and sewing to the university fine arts department and applied for a job in the costume shop. That job taught me how to create, alter, and repair costumes for stage production. I learned new techniques and how to sew for all body types. I continued sewing after college and, when I had children, my daughter (Christina) showed an interest in learning as well. She has a unique perspective on how things work and she comes up with new ways to do things that I would not have thought about. We share ideas and brainstorm solutions together to find the best possible way to create, alter, or repair the project we are working on. We have created flower girl and bridesmaid dresses, MANY Halloween costumes and costumes for events, and altered and repaired several dresses and uniforms for family, friends, and ourselves. We love to sew because it gives us an opportunity to create something from a vision, make something functional again, or to use our creativity to solve a problem. We love what do!
“It looks really nice, you did such a good job!”
